Services Set for Mr. Keating
Funeral services will be held at 3 o’clock Thursday afternoon for Mr. Lawrence F. “Larry” Keating Sr. who died at 4 a.m. Sunday morning at the Fort Walton Beach Hospital. He was 57.
A native of Texas, Mr. Keating came to Fort Walton Beach in 1952.
He was a department manager at Fort Walton Paint and Body Shop on Beal Street and lived at 6 Holmes Blvd.
He was a member of the First Methodist Church.
Funeral services will be held at McLaughlin Mortuary Chapel with Rev. W. B. Atkinson officiating. Burial will be in Beal Memorial Cemetery with McLaughlin Mortuary in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Keating is survived by his widow, Mrs. Rhoda Keating, a son, Lawrence F. Keating Jr, Mobile, Ala., four sisters, Mrs. T. M. Skipworth, Euguene, Oregon, Mrs. Chester Meador, Plainview, Texas, Mrs. Tom Milsap, Austin, Texas and Mrs. Floyd Casteel, Kress, Texas and three grandchildren.
Active pall bearers will be C. B. Brown, J. D. Sharon, E. A. Sharon, Gordon Simpson, Autry Shaffer and John W. Smith. Honorary pall bearers are Charley Gillis, Edward E. Davis, Marvin Emmons, Howard Setzer, Kenneth Heck, Raymond Dugard, Jessie Holmes, Julian Land, Ardis Ivey and Earl Stanley.
