William F. McCann — 86, A resident of Somerville and Yarmouth died on March 23, 2012. William was the beloved husband of the late Catherine T. (Shea) and Eileen (Keating) and the loving father of Kathleen A. O’Connell-Mack and husband Dennis of Somerville and Yarmouth, Frederick McCann of Methuen, Joseph McCann of Lawrence, William McCann of Salem, NH, Sheila Welch and husband Kenneth of Lowell, John C. McCann and fiancée Katie McCarthy of Plymouth and the late James F. O’Connell. He was the brother Marion Sullivan of West Hampton, NY and the late Charles and Robert McCann. William was also the grandfather of Christy, Patrick, Kenneth and Matthew. The funeral procession will be held from the George L. Doherty Funeral Home, 855 Broadway (Powder House Sq.) in Somerville on Wednesday morning, March 28, 2012, at 9 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Clement Church in Somerville at 10 o’clock. Relatives and friends are invited. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, April 27, from 4-8 p.m. Interment will be at Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne on Wednesday at 1:15 p.m. William was a WWII Veteran of U.S. Navy.
