Mary Rosalie Keating Obituary

Mary Rosalie Keating, 89, of Richmond, died Friday, December 7, 2018, at home.

She was born Tuesday, October 22, 1929, in N.J. the daughter of Howard and Frances (Dunn) Brown.

Her marriage to Robert Keating was Saturday, December 19, 1953, in Tipton, IN.

Mary studied at Providence Bible College, VA for three years and then Taylor University, IN for two years. She had an honorary doctorates degree for years of service in the ministry. For 65 years she was a very active pastor’s wife. She taught for L’Anse Creuse Public Schools, Mt. Clemens and for Ocala Christian Academy for several years. She enjoyed playing and teaching the piano, reading, camping and decorating her Christmas tree.

Surviving in addition to her husband Robert of 65 years are two children, Karen Keating of Richmond and Dennis (MaryAnne) Keating of Columbus; three grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; sister, Lois Holland and several nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Phillip Brown.

The family honors the memory of Mary and invite you to visit and share memories Tuesday, December 11, 2018, from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Kaatz Funeral Directors, Richmond. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the former First Baptist Church of Richmond, currently the Ezekiel project, with 10:00 a.m. visiting. Rev. Norman Farver, pastor of Calvary Baptist Church, Armada, will officiate. Burial will be in Richmond Cemetery, Richmond.
